We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position can troubleshoot issues and repair or replace damaged components on cars, trucks, SUVs and various other vehicles. Previous automotive experience is highly desirable for this position, as is the willingness to stay up-to-date on current technologies. Need to have a state inspection license.
Responsibilities:
- Be willing to work in a team environment.
- Be willing to work under pressure and deal with demanding customers.
- Be able to lift up to 80 pounds with assistance.
- Be able to climb ladders, work under cars, and crawl on hands and knees to perform repairs.
- Be able to use hand tools and power tools for various tasks.
- Be able to read diagrams and schematics to find out what is wrong with a car.
- Be able to use diagnostic equipment (i.e. computers, scales, analytical equipment) when working.
- Know how to use a torque wrench; identify common car parts; evaluate possible causes of problems; estimate costs involved in a repair job; diagnose problems using diagnostic equipment; be familiar with the specifications of different makes and models of cars.
