Gain an understanding of basic parts, processes, and maintenance techniques as instructed by knowledgeable technicians.
Learn how to complete all work orders, perform maintenance tasks based on driver pre and post trip inspections in a timely manner.
Perform all job duties in accordance with company safety policies and regulations to ensure safe operations.
Assist senior level technicians in performing preventative maintenance Inspections.
Aid senior level technicians on larger projects.
Learn how to thoroughly identify defects requiring correction, which would affect the availability of the equipment and the safety of the equipment operator.
Adjust brakes, clutches, and other utilities that are part of the vehicle or other equipment.
Adjust hydraulic pressures and other hydraulic components of any equipment.
Perform tire changes and repairs on vehicles and equipment.
Build, rebuild or replace hydraulic components and hoses of any vehicle or stationary equipment.
Learn how to perform accurate lockout/tagout procedures.
Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and perform any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values. About the Brand
Fleet Mobile Maintenance (FMM) service offerings include mobile preventative maintenance and mechanical repair, tire replacement and repair services, and trailer repair and maintenance services. Fleet Mobile Maintenance serves several markets in the Southeast corridor of Michigan, including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Lansing, and Flint. We also have technicians serving customers in Indianapolis, Cleveland, Louisville, and Nashville.

Qualifications:
"WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
Experience with CAT, Detroit, Cummins or International engines is a definite asset;
Experience with Freightliner/Western Star, Volvo/Mack, Kenworth/Peterbilt International or Mitsubishi, is an asset;
Valid driver’s license;
Experience with brake adjustments;
Willingness and aptitude to learn and be trained;
Experience with oil changes;
Completion of a trade school program or at least 1 year of diesel mechanic experience;
Drive and responsibility to work independently.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT
1-2 years’ experience working on diesel trucks/vehicles/commercial trailers
Experience with welding
High School Diploma or equivalent
Class A CDL
