General Description:
The Automotive Mechanic Technician will work at a Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Center Truck Care for our North and South Region Centers. You will be responsible for all aspects of automotive tire and mechanical services and repairs for our customers and company vehicles. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Perform line technician services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, problem solving ability with full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
- Provide service for brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
- Other service includes brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical, air conditioning, computer systems, power-train management systems, road tests for diagnosis, and service recommendations.
- Operate, clean, and maintain service equipment including miscellaneous hand, hydraulic and automatic tools, all diagnostic
- Operate equipment; manual and automatic jack; hydraulic lift; air compressor; air tools; tire changer; tire balancer.
- Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
- Dismount, mount, and balance any type of automotive and light truck tires.
- Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles. Provide guidance and mentoring to junior automotive technicians.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must possess socket & wrench sets 3/8” and 1/2” drive up to 1 ½”, screwdrivers and pliers. Torque wrench ½” drive.
- Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
- Must be able to work in a result driven, and fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Minimum of 1-year automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Certified
- Previous exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition, electrical, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems experience.
- Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
