Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. Auto Body Technicians perform a variety of tasks related to repairing vehicles’ bodywork following collisions or other damage.
They may also perform routine vehicle maintenance and cosmetic enhancements.
You will be responsible for restoring vehicle bodies to their original state following collisions or other damage.
Auto Body Technician’s duties include inspecting vehicles for damage, developing a repair plan, replacing or repairing damaged parts, and ensuring that the final finish is smooth and uniform.
Our ideal candidate is an expert in auto repair, capable of working with precision and attention to detail.
Ultimately, you will restore damaged vehicles to a like-new condition and provide excellent customer service.
Duties:
- Use power tools and hand tools to assemble components according to specifications
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure product functionality
- Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols
Qualifications:
-Auto Body Technicians are primarily responsible for directly servicing vehicles, with daily duties and responsibilities including:
- Evaluating the extent of vehicle body damage and determining the best repair method
- Removing damaged parts of the vehicle using hand tools, power tools, or welding equipment
- Repairing minor and major body damage, including dents, scratches, and rust
- Using sophisticated frame machines to align damaged parts
- Refitting, adjusting and aligning body parts such as doors and hoods
- Refinishing repaired surfaces by sanding, buffing, and applying paint and sealants
- Performing cosmetic repairs such as paintless dent removal and wheel restoration
- Inspecting vehicles for structural integrity and quality of workmanship
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with industry standards
- Communicating effectively with clients, insurance companies, and other technicians
