As an Automotive Painter I, you will be responsible for painting and finishing our luxury coaches to ensure a flawless and high-quality appearance. Your expertise in paint application and surface preparation is essential to maintaining the aesthetic and value of our fleet. In this role, you will utilize your skills in a professional environment that values precision, quality, and teamwork.
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and repairing defects to ensure a smooth base.
- Masking: Apply masking tape and coverings to areas not being painted to protect them from overspray and ensure clean lines.
- Paint Mixing: Mix and prepare paints and coatings according to specific formulas and instructions to achieve the desired color and finish.
- Painting: Use spray guns and other painting equipment to apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat to vehicles, ensuring even coverage and a high-quality finish.
- Inspection: Inspect painted surfaces for flaws or defects and perform touch-ups as needed to achieve a perfect finish.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain painting equipment and the work area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace, preventing contamination and equipment malfunctions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of painting tasks and maintain high standards of quality.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Fluency in English with strong reading comprehension skills.
- Basic knowledge of automotive painting techniques and equipment.
- Previous experience in painting luxury coaches or high-end vehicles.
- Familiarity with different types of paints and coatings.
- Knowledge of spray guns and other painting equipment.
