CAPITAL is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Automotive Body Technician to join our team. An Automotive Body Technician plays a crucial role in the automotive repair industry. Their primary responsibility is to repair vehicles that have been damaged due to accidents, collisions, or other incidents. This includes assessing damage, performing bodywork, and painting vehicles to restore them to their original appearance and functionality. The technician must have a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and proficiency in using various tools and equipment.

Automotive Body Technician Responsibilities:
- Assist in disassembling parts and components as needed for the repair process
- Learn to communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on the status of repairs and addressing any questions or concerns
- Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage caused by accidents, collisions, or other incidents
- Perform various body repair tasks, including straightening frames, removing dents, repairing or replacing damaged panels, and welding
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed repairs to ensure they meet industry standards and customer expectations
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate with customers to explain repair processes, provide estimates, and address any questions or concerns they may have
- Other duties assigned
Automotive Body Technician Requirements:
- Some hands-on experience in auto body repair, collision repair, or related fields is a plus
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools commonly used in automotive body repair
- Ability to identify and address even minor imperfections in bodywork and paint finishes to achieve high-quality results
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of experienced technicians
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in auto body repair
- Basic communication skills to interact with team members and, when necessary, with customers
- Must pass pre-employment background screenings
