ABOUT THIS ROLE
A service technician position with East Bay Tire is a great way to grow your career in the Tire industry. A service technician will be passionate about providing customer service, working with customers, and providing excellent service. A service technician will become a trusted representative of the company offering the best services to our customers. Hard work in a dirty environment is par for the course as this position will require tenacity, strong work ethic, and willingness to work in the elements. This position is physically demanding and requires team members to be safety conscious and very aware of the surroundings. Service technicians will be offered competitive pay and commission. A service technician is constantly on the move and will need to be able to sit, squat, stand, lift, and work in a fast-paced environment. DUTIES INCLUDE
- Mount, dismount, repair and rotate tires ranging from commercial, earthmover, automobile, agricultural, etc.
- Foam fill tires as required by customer need/want
- Assist in inventory and shop housekeeping
- Respond to road calls and conduct fleet checks for customer tire needs
- Work on-call emergency roadside assistance shifts as scheduled, adhering to company on-call policy
- Operate machinery and equipment as needed to perform job duties
- Work as part of team when required
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures as required per part of the job
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years' experience working in tire distribution, manufacturing, or service setting
- Strong Commitment to setting and achieving goals
- Ability to work as a member of team, collaborate and communicate effectively
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to strict safety standards
- Ability to bend, sit, stand, climb, twist, push, pull, lift, and work in tight confined spaces
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred, not required
- Must be able to lift 75lb independently, team lift over 100lbs. Push and Pull 50 lbs. Work in hot and cold environments.
- Completion of pre-employment job testing for physical demands required.
- Valid California Driver's License and must be insurable (MVR will be checked regularly)

- This position will work out of any of our San Rafael, CA location.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:
- Work in an environment where there can be loud noise
- Frequently stand to perform work. Lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, twisting is part of the normal physical demands of the job.
- Ability to lift to 75 pounds
- Drive service vehicles, adhere to rules of the roads, and operate vehicles, machinery and equipment in safe manner.
- Work flexible/varying schedule to support the team and customers.
