Location: Portsmouth, NH
Summary: Searching for a GM certified technician or technician that is NH state inspection certified, responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing said repairs, service, and/or maintenance work. Open to technicians that do not have GM experience or dealership experience in general willing to train the right individual. Paid GM training program along with paid ASE training program. Family owned dealership with a Monday through Friday work schedule, relaxed low stress work environment, and A/C shop. Pay negotiated based on experience and skill set which can be either flat rate or hourly depending. *****SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDED*****
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Examines customer vehicles.
· Identify and perform necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
· Documents services performed in a legible manner
· Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines.
· Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
· Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area!!!
· Participates in required training
· Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
· Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
· Complies with Company policies and procedures
· Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Desired Education:
- High School Diploma
- Associate Degree
Field of Study/Work Experience:
Automotive
Desired Work Experience:
3-5 years dealership experience preferred but not required will train the right candidate
Education/Experience:
Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training or commensurate technical experience required.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to company insurance
NH State Inspection license preferred but not required
Computer Skills:
Basic Computer skills to utilize training and perform required diagnostic procedures
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
