**Overview:**
Green Toyota VW Audi is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. The ideal candidate will have experience with automotive electrical systems and a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge. If you have experience as a mechanic or service technician, we encourage you to join our family.
**Duties:**
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
- Perform routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary maintenance.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to identify issues and make accurate repairs.
- Work with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
- Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers and other team members to ensure that all needs are met.
**Skills:**
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and mechanical knowledge.
- Proven experience as auto mechanic.
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Familiarity with cars and light duty vehicles.
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and service procedures.
- Ability to use auto estimating software.
- Experience with powertrain systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with aligning vehicles.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Basic computer skills for completing necessary paperwork.
- High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
- Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
