Position: Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Location: Rolla, MO

Job Description: Works with other mechanics to diagnose mechanical deficiencies and performs automotive repairs

Responsibilities:

· Identifying and diagnosing automotive operating deficiencies

· Ordering the correct part needed to repair a vehicle

· Performing automotive repairs

· Cleaning and organizing of the bays

· Performing state safety inspections on vehicles

· Test driving vehicles after mechanical repairs have been performed

· Records services and repairs for vehicle records

· Creates estimates for automotive repairs using Pro Demand

Skills/Abilities:

· Attention to detail

· Ability to use power tools and work with hands

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Adherence to safety requirements and procedures

· Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

· Ability to work in both teams and independently

· Ability to perform tasks in an efficient manner

· Ability to arrive at work on time daily

· Ability to drive/operate motor vehicles

· Effective communication with supervisor and peers about the status of mechanical repairs in progress

· Ability to use machines and automated equipment

· Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs

Experience/Credentials and Qualifications:

· Previous mechanical experience required

· Missouri state vehicle inspection license required (motor vehicles)

· ASE Certifications preferred

· Previous welding experience preferred

· Previous air conditioning diagnosis experience preferred

· Previous exhaust/tail pipe experience preferred

· Possession of valid driver’s license with clean driving record

· Must be over the age of 18

Compensation will be based on the amount of previous experience and/or education possessed by the candidate. Our hours of operation are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Drug test will be required for chosen candidate. We retain the right to reject a candidate if they do not agree to comply with our corporate policies and procedures. Excessive use of cellphones while on the clock will not be tolerated. We are a tobacco-free facility.
