Felder Group USA is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team. The Field Service Technician will be based out of our Sacramento, CA office and is responsible for providing on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of their equipment as well as in-office customer service support via our integrated digital ticket system.
The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills and excellent communication. He/she will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide the best possible customer service.
Responsibilities:
- On-Site Service – Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and/or install woodworking machinery at customer shops. Machinery includes table saws, jointers, planers, bandsaws, dowel-boring machines, etc. This may involve extensive traveling across the United States or within your region.
- In-Office Support – Utilize our integrated digital ticket support system to assist customers with troubleshooting machinery issues. Promptly communicate via phone call, video call, and email to diagnose and identify issues. Recommend solutions to the customer on how to solve their issue including: steps to fix the issues themselves, the purchase of spare parts, and/or the purchase of an on-site service visit by a Felder Group USA Technician
- Showroom & Used-Machinery Support- In our local office, you may be tasked with assisting in the installation, calibration, and operation of showroom machinery. You may also be tasked with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing damaged or used machinery
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or certification preferred
- Ability to build strong relationships with the customer and display excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manager
- Ability to lift to 55 pounds
- Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills including Microsoft office
- Knowledgeable about all safety requirements
- Ability to diagnose AC and DC circuits
- Ability to diagnose pneumatic systems
- Ability to travel via car and airplane; ability to complete multi-day assignments out-of-state
