Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, with the ability to work on various vehicle makes and models. This role requires expertise in both gasoline and diesel engine repair, as well as proficiency in automotive electrical systems. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive issues effectively.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle’s condition and necessary repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or independent shop setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques and diagnostics, including diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and the ability to read schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- ASE certification is preferred but not required; willingness to pursue certification is essential.
