POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all aspects of alignment and related service, small mechanical repairs for commercial vehicles, (passenger, light truck). Provides direct customer service and support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Aligns wheels, axles, frames, torsion bars and steering mechanisms of vehicles.
- Mount and dismount auto tires (light truck tires)
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery. Equipment and systems.
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems.)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues.
- Demonstrates professionalism in all interactions with customers to ensure overall satisfaction and retention.
- Properly completes and submits required billing documents to Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
- Properly maintains assigned service vehicle including all associated service equipment and tools.
- Regularly inspects service vehicle, and reports maintenance or safety concerns upon discovery to Store Manager. All service vehicles must be inspected before use and safe to operate.
- Performs on-call services when assigned.
- Safely drives and operates company vehicles.
- Maintains a clean interior and exterior of assigned service vehicle.
- Ensures compliance with safety requirements as outlined by the company, along with those specified in OSHA and MSHA regulations pertaining to this position.
- Regularly attends all staff trainings and meetings as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
