We are seeking an Automotive Service Technician for our rapidly growing automotive parts and restoration company. The Automotive Service Technician works on vintage and late model Toyota Land Cruisers and Toyota 4x4’s. The projects include restorations, service and outfitting of customer and company vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience in Toyota 4WD, ASE certifications, Trade School certification, and/or offroad vehicle builds is a plus, but not required
- Must be able to participate in problem solving and executing proper repairs of service vehicles
- Properly examine, diagnose, and repair vehicle issues stated in work orders
- Maintain client vehicles and keep work area clean during and after work performed
- Discuss repairs with shop manager
- Analyze labor estimates with service manager
- Abide by all company safety requirements
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess integrity, detail-oriented and multitasking skills
- The ideal candidate will also make recommendations and design processes for continuous improvement
- Assist in determining appropriate stock levels in shop and reporting back to Management for further direction; re-stocks items as necessary
- Ability to interpret and install off road accessory packages
- Automotive electrical, welding, and fabrication experience a plus
- High motivation, energy, and customer focused attitude
- Participate in annual stock inventory count
- CAD systems experience a plus
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of automotive supplies, equipment and products
- A high school diploma or the equivalent is the minimum requirement.
- Current attendance or completion of formal training in a postsecondary institution is preferable.
- Industry certification is a plus
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
- Must have and provide own tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Able to pass a background check
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission
Company Offerings:
- We are offering a beginning hourly rate of $20 per hour, with a 90-day probationary period and the chance of an increase at the end of this period. This is a full-time position and does not include evenings or weekends. We also have part time positions available for current students in automotive technology programs.
- We have 7 paid holidays per year, plus one paid day to visit SEMA.
- We have overtime for anything over 8 hours per day, or 40 hours per week.
