Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
Summary of Position:
Rock Pros Landscape Supply provides landscaping material for residential and commercial needs. We are a medium-sized, close-knit company with a fleet of 21 heavy-duty trucks and trailers, along with some earth-moving/processing equipment. Our equipment consists of Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, Komastu, Vermeer, Bobcat, John Deere, Case, and Crown forklifts. Those in this position will be required to perform heavy equipment, truck repair (small, medium, and large), and maintenance work in accordance with company and DOT standards. This would include, but not limited to, running diagnostics, working closely with others to achieve company goals. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform minor and major repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
· Conduct regular preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles and heavy equipment including inspection and preventative maintenance repairs
· Maintain parts inventory, cleanliness in the shop and service vehicles
· Collaborate with the management team to diagnose problems with vehicles, plan, and make repairs.
· Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks and heavy equipment
· Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
· Diagnosing and replacing defective parts as well as ordering the needed parts.
· Maintain a neat and organized work area
Experience and Competencies:
· 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
· Welding experience (preferred, but not required)
· Valid Commercial Driver’s License (preferred, but not required)
· Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
· Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
· Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 60 pounds.
· Excellent reading and writing skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
