Overview
Liberty Automotive is looking for Used Car Technicians to join our busy and growing dealership for our night shift hours 4pm to 12pm M-F. We are seeking a reliable individual preferably with automotive dealership experience to join and grow with our team!
Essential Duties:
- Ability to work on all makes and all models
- Ability to perform a complete comprehensive used car inspection
- Requires the ability to perform light maintenance and repairs.
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road tests vehicles.
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive systems.
- Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 44 per week
