Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, with experience in both dealership and independent shop environments. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise in automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) will be crucial to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services.
- Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Utilize automotive diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical systems and powertrain components.
- Maintain detailed records of all services performed on vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow within the shop.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician in a dealership or independent shop setting.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes, including diagnostics for powertrain and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE) are preferred but not required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary for this role.
