Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with specific expertise in diesel and gas engine repair and powertrain systems. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and technical proficiency.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on various automotive systems, including but not limited to diesel engines, powertrain components, and GM vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute repairs efficiently and safely.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and services, ensuring vehicles are operating at optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and improve service delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role, with a focus on diesel engine repair preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including powertrain components.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
- Certification from an accredited automotive program is a plus but not required.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to automotive repair are advantageous.
