Duties
- Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to execute repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Align vehicle wheels and ensure proper suspension adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle.
- Communicate with customers about their vehicle's condition, necessary repairs, and recommended services.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Certification from an accredited automotive program is preferred but not mandatory.
