Truesdell Corporation is currently seeking a Lead Mechanic/ Shop Manager to join our Western Region team based out of Tempe, AZ to manage and coordinate mechanics. This candidate will be able to travel nationwide. The objective of the Lead Mechanic/ Shop Manager is to ensure that all equipment, fleet and facilities are performing effectively and efficiently at maximum benefit to the company.Our ideal candidate will enjoy travel, working on bridges, learning new skills, and working with our fast-paced team and is excited about the opportunity to advance within our company.

Equipment Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair and adjust all types of automotive, large earth moving equipment, and gas or diesel engines.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure performance.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Track, monitor and record the defects, issues, repairs and maintenance on every piece of equipment and fleet vehicle. Have accurate and up to date information readily available.
- Repair or overhaul mobile, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Manage and train a team of 5 or more mechanics.
- Maintain maintenance logs.
- Scheduling of mechanics and coordinating logistics of travel.
- Assist crews in field and order parts to complete projects.
- Inspecting equipment on regular basis.
- Field calls from crew and direct mechanic on what steps to perform for repair.
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License required.
- Travel required. Roughly 60% of the time.
- Strong Communication skills.
- Strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
- Safety first mentality. Awareness and understanding of OHSA and company safety requirements.
- Meet quality standards of service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Build trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Experience:
- Construction experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment maintenance.
- Previous experience as a maintenance manager for 3-5 years.
- Proficient with Microsoft office including excel.
Compensation and Benefits Package:

- Salary is determined by experience and education, range is $80k-$110k
