Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive service, particularly with GM vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to ensure the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles.
Duties
- Conduct thorough automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Execute repairs on various vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively to align and maintain vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency in the shop.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive service.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to weld and perform basic fabrication tasks is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for vehicle maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in automotive diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
