Full Time Technician Position working Monday-Friday 8 to 5 closed 12 to 1 for lunch. Must have experience in GERMAN makes as that is our specialty. Excellent diagnostic skills with a keen eye for inspection of vehicles a must. Ability to effectively communicate with Service Advisor and Parts Specialist on needed repairs and recommendations for future service imperative.
Must possess the following Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess a valid US Driver’s License, be insurable on shop insurance policy, and possess the ability to drive a vehicle. Must supply copy of Driving Record.
Must have at least 3 years of practical experience working as a technician in an automobile repair facility.
Advanced knowledge of inner workings of automobiles and systems.
Advanced knowledge of automobile diagnostics including but not limited to using a diagnostic tree, performing testing procedures to discover the cause and needed repairs to correct a customer’s complaint.
Knowledge and skill of how to perform a thorough inspection on a vehicle for the purpose of finding service and repairs needed based on the miles and condition of the vehicle.
Ability and knowledge of how to use a computer and diagnostic tools to diagnose vehicles, look up repair instructions, and access appropriate software. DVI skills a plus or must learn. ASE certification preferred or a willingness to acquire. We reimburse for all cost towards ASE certifications once passed.
