Hunt Equipment LLC, dba Donlee Pump Company is now hiring a Shop Technician Trainee for our Ceres location. This position is a full time, Monday thru Friday position. The successful applicant will learn to safely and efficiently maintain our lube equipment service and repair area.
Job Purpose:
The position of lube equipment shop technician is responsible to maintain an organized and efficient lube service area. The functions of this position include checking in equipment, check for warranty, tear down equipment, contact customers, order parts, rebuild and test equipment, keep track of tools and maintain a safe and orderly work area.
Essential Functions:
- Check in and inspect used petroleum storage, pumping and delivery equipment.
- Maintain good records of where equipment came from and what is being done with it.
- Read repair manuals and consult with factories to determine the steps to be taken and parts required for equipment repairs.
- Place new parts and equipment on shelves and keep the stock organized.
- Be able to accurately identify various types of products.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Maintain accurate product inventories.
Other tasks:
- Interact with fellow employees professionally and respectfully.
- Adhere to Hunt Equipment Policies and procedures.
- Treat customers and co-workers in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must be willing to work with oil and grease which can get messy
- Able to move or lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and move freely in the performance of the position.
- Ability to perform arithmetical calculations at the eight-grade level.
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
