Position Summary
As a Level 2 Motorsports Technician, you will play a vital role in our team, performing a range of diagnostic and repair tasks on high-performance vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all repairs and upgrades are executed efficiently and to the highest standards, ultimately enhancing our clients' experiences. You will collaborate daily with service advisors, fellow technicians, parts associates, and management, contributing to our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute all Level 1 technician responsibilities with proficiency.
- Stay current with product training for company/brand offerings.
- Conduct preventive maintenance services across various vehicle types.
- Demonstrate proficiency in suspension components and advanced chassis setup.
- Utilize diagnostic systems and methods to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and provide guidance on optimal vehicle usage.
- Inspect and upgrade vehicle computer and electronic systems.
- Understand and apply wiring diagrams for assembly and repair tasks.
- Skillfully remove and reinstall engine and transmission assemblies.
- Competently install and modify safety equipment, including roll bars, steering wheels, and harnesses.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the automotive repair lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
- High school diploma preferred; vocational school certification or apprenticeship completion is a plus.
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic, with a minimum of 1 year as a Level 1 technician or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
- Brand certifications are preferred.
- Valid certifications (e.g., ASE) are highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmissions.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, equipment, and part diagrams.
- Strong mechanical skills and manual dexterity.
- Competent in using power and hand tools, along with other heavy machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow up effectively.
- Strong physical condition to meet the demands of the role.
