Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems and be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems in residential and commercial settings.
Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Diagnose malfunctions in heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to test electrical components.
Work with ammonia refrigeration systems when necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all work performed.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding service needs and recommendations.
Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.

Skills

Proficiency in reading schematics related to HVAC/R systems.
Experience with refrigerate systems and components.
Ability to operate as a van driver for transportation to job sites.
Previous experience as a service technician is preferred.
Knowledge of boiler systems is an asset.
Strong understanding of ammonia refrigeration processes.
Capability to maintain equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to build rapport with clients through effective communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.60 - $30.45 per hour
