Mutiny Marine is a Mercury and Suzuki certified dealership. We are the largest marine dealership in South Lyon and we take pride in the community we serve. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lube Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential boat maintenance services, primarily focusing on oil changes and gear lube changes on a multitude of different engine makes and types. You will also be responsible for winterizing both outboard motors and stern drive motors (training will be provided). The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for marine repair and service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that boats are maintained to the highest standards while providing excellent customer service. You will also learn our procedures for winterization of both outboard and sterndrive engines, and perform these tasks while paying attention to detail and cleanliness.

Duties

Perform oil changes and other routine boat maintenance tasks.
Conduct light-duty engine visual inspections before conducting winterization tasks.
Inspect boats for any signs of wear or damage and recommend necessary repairs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assist in maintenance documentation and record services needed
Collaborate with team members to meet service goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair or marine service preferred.
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and standards.
Ability to perform basic maintenance like oil changes, gear lube changes, visual inspections, and winterization tasks.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with service writers.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality service standards.
Previous experience in a dealership setting is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
