We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive work and a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry. This role involves supporting various shop operations, assisting mechanics, and ensuring that tools and equipment are well-maintained. Responsibilities

Assist mechanics in performing vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks.
Help with auto restoration projects, including assembling parts and components.
Perform welding tasks as needed to support repair and restoration efforts.
Work with sheet metal for repairs or modifications on vehicles.
Assist in the installation of auto glass when required.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Follow all safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools.

Qualifications

Experience in auto painting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and welding techniques is highly desirable.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices is a plus.
Ability to assemble parts accurately and efficiently.
Basic understanding of mechanic principles related to automotive repair is beneficial.
Experience in auto restoration projects will be considered an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
