GATR Truck Center is seeking to hire a full-time Body Shop Technician in our WAUKEE IA location to perform Heavy/Medium/Light Equipment body work. PRIMARY DUTIES WILL CONSIST OF BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards
Responsible for performing work with efficiency and accuracy resulting in quality repairs for customers
Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
Disassembles and reassembles fabricated truck and trailer parts
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
Participates in manufacturer and dealership sponsored training programs, schools, and events
Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned
Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer Consistently reliable and dependable and adheres to specified work schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Driving Record Insurable through Company Carrier
CDL certification preferred
1-3 Years Experience Preferred
