Carshares is a small car rental company that operates a fleet of 5-12 year old vehicles ranging from ultra economy to exotics.

Job Summary

Due to our size we are seeking an experienced mechanic to work for us on retainer. Our ideal candidate is currently employed as a part or full time mechanic but has a day or two free each week for this new position. You will be paid $250 per week for 8 hours of labor. Some weeks we may not have enough work available so the labor will roll over to the next week but you will still be paid at least $250 each week.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety

- Perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake changes
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various vehicles
- Perform pre-purchase inspections on vehicles we plan to add to our fleet

Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Familiarity with automotive service procedures and best practices
- Ability to work independently
- Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a plus

Notes

- Our garage is located in West Haven, Connecticut. We will be building out our shop based on your advice and requirements.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $31.25 per hour
