**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic with knowledge/experience working with older cars, hot rods and modified vehicles. The workload is currently about 80% customization and 20% "normal jobs" (meaning brakes, suspension and minor engine repair). Basically we have standard work but we also get project cars for modifications/hot rods. But the workload is moving towards 50/50. You can work 2 to 4 days per week, generally 6 hours per day, but can be flexible. This is a part time position, but the projects are a lot of fun. Its a great opportunity for either a young but very-talented kid, or an experienced person on the other end of their career looking for more fun on the job.

**Responsibilities:**

- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks as well as being very creative to custom fit for hot rods and customs.

- Conduct complex mechanical repairs on various vehicle systems such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.

- Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and repair manuals.

- Complete accurate estimates for repairs.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to efficiently complete repairs.

- Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows safety protocols.

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.

- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques.

- Ability to perform brake repair, powertrain work, shocks struts replacement, and other mechanical tasks.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to use a variety of tools effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
