Key Responsibilities - Tire Technician

Execute thermocouple testing
Learn and understand the curing process of a tire
Use soldering pit to create thermocouple lips using dual-metal wire.
Take apart and build various sized tires with appropriate thermocouple tip placements placed in the cross-section of the tire with attention to detail
Conduct thermocouple tire tests (loading, monitoring, and unloading) to collect temperature data as tires goes through curing process.
Organize order of tests based upon schedule and tire availability in a self-sufficient manner.
Measure and cut cross-section of tire, being sure to find all thermocouple wire tips in appropriate locations.
Buff cross-sections to make smooth for viewing using grinding wheel.
Use computer and Excel to convert raw data files to more easily understand and analyze.
Prepare materials and build thermocouple tires

Required Skills and Knowledge- Tire Technician

Must have attention to detail
Organization skills
Ability to use Microsoft Suite

Education and Experience - Tire Technician

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Automotive/ Manufacturing experience preferred
