Video Creative Director needed for a growing kitchen appliance company in
Irvine.
Direct Hire position paying $125-175K per year depending on experience. This position will start our remote and then will be hybrid 30% of the time.
Could also involve some travel to Northern California. Excellent benefits including Medical, 401K plan, life insurance and paid time off.
The Video Creative Director plays a critical strategic role within our company. In this role, you will not only lead the video production efforts but also be the architect of our brand’s storytelling and creative vision.
You will work closely with the executive team to develop and execute video content strategies that align with our long-term brand goals.
With your extensive experience in video creativity and brand development, you will guide the team in producing highly impactful video content that reinforces our brand positioning and helps us stand out in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Creative Leadership : Develop and drive the long-term strategy for video content, ensuring each project supports and enhances the company’s brand positioning and overall strategic goals.
- Brand Storytelling & Creative Development : Lead and oversee the creative direction of video content, crafting a unique brand narrative that aligns with our core values and market objectives.
- Project Management & Delivery : Oversee the end-to-end management of video projects, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
Implement a rigorous project evaluation process to ensure alignment between creative output and business goals.
- Leadership & Team Development : Cultivate and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary creative team. Foster a work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration, and provide regular feedback and guidance to support team members’ professional growth.
- Market Insights & Trend Analysis : Stay on top of the latest trends and technological advancements in video production and brand communication, applying these insights to maintain our competitive edge.
- Cross-Department Collaboration : Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, and PR teams to ensure seamless integration of video content with the overall marketing strategy.
- Passion for Cooking : Bring a genuine interest and understanding of cooking into the creative process, ensuring that our video content authentically resonates with our audience’s culinary interests and enhances their kitchen experience.
- Budget & Resource Management : Develop and manage the video production budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximizing return on investment. Qualifications :
- Educational Background : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Film Production, Communications, Visual Arts, Brand Management); MBA preferred.
- Experience : 10+ years of experience in video production and brand development, with at least 5 years in a senior creative role such as Video Creative Director.
Proven success in creating impactful video content for well-known brands.
- Strategic Thinking : Ability to understand and drive the development of video content from a big-picture, strategic perspective, effectively aligning creative work with business objectives.
- Leadership & Management Skills : Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary creative team, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical & Creative Skills : Proficiency in the full spectrum of video production, including creative development, filming, editing, special effects, and sound.
Strong visual creativity and artistic judgment.
- Passion for Cooking : A personal passion for cooking and food preparation, with a keen understanding of how to communicate this passion through video content to engage and inspire our audience.
- Communication & Influence : Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, and to persuasively present and defend creative ideas. Preferred Qualifications :
- A strong track record of success in creating video content for well-known international brands, particularly in the kitchen appliance or consumer goods sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in achieving breakthrough growth in highly competitive markets.
- Extensive experience in brand storytelling and understanding its impact on consumer behavior.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $125,000.00 - $175,000.00
