SUMMARY: Performs laboratory tests to determine physical characteristics of materials and products for such purposes as quality control, process control or product development by performing essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs testing in accordance with relevant specification(s).
- Follows daily work assignments relative to test schedule.
- Has detailed understanding of test methods and specifications.
- Performs basic calculations from tests.
- Runs most tests and procedures within area.
- Follows quality and safety procedures.
- Maintains appearance of work area.
- Commits to on-time completion of work assignments.
- Repairs equipment.
- Writes reports and communicates with clients.
- Availability for weekend checks.
- Has strong mechanical knowledge.
- Has knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Program Logic experience preferred but not required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Experience with tools, fluid systems, and electrical is preferred but not required.
