THE OIL/LUBE TECHNICIAN WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO MAINTAIN ALL COMPANY VEHICLES. THE OIL/LUBE TECHNICIAN WILL NEED TO OPERATE IN A SAFE AND EFFICIENT MANNER FOLLOWING ALL PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT(PPE) AND PROCESS REQUIREMENTS. THIS ROLE IS CLASSIFIED AS SAFETY SENSITIVE.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Keep work area clean, orderly, and safe.
- Drain and change oil in vehicles, following all safe-handling procedures to correctly dispose of used motor oil.
- Top off fluids in vehicle engines, including transmission and windshield wiper fluid.
- Change and rotate tires.
- Inspect vehicles to determine maintenance and repair needs. This includes checking fluid levels and tire air pressure.
- Replace oil and air filters.
- Follow safety protocols for working in the repair shop and driving vehicles.
- Briefly test drive vehicles to ensure all maintenance and repair work was successfully completed.
- Grease equipment when required.
- Keep shop clean.
- Fill out work order forms as tasks are completed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Read effectively from a computer screen and/or a paper copy.
- Handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effectively communicate verbally.
- Stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk and lift heavy objects (50 lbs.)
- Have their own tools.
- Computer proficient.
- 3 Years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance or automotive repair and maintenance.
- Technical certification preferred or relevant experience.
- Automotive Gas and Diesel (Preferably Ford).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Indoor, in a ventilated and heated shop.
