Summary: The Lube Technician is responsible for performing express lube duties on vehicles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Adheres to express lube guidelines.
- Performs lube, oil and filter changes by draining and replacing oil and filter, and lubricating all joints, including idler arm steering knuckles, tie rods ends and ball joints.
- Reports all necessary repairs to service advisor.
- Installs completed LOF reminder sticker in vehicle.
- Checks battery, tire air pressure, windshield fluid, transmission fluid and power steering fluid levels and refills as needed.
- Checks coolant level and refills as necessary.
- Ensures that vehicle is clean and free of fluid residue or fingerprints.
- Checks fluid level prior to release of vehicle to ensure proper levels.
- Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
- Participates in required training
- Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
- Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
- Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values
- Complies with Company policies and procedures
- Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

Field of Study/Work Experience:
√ Automotive
Education/Experience:
Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge. Technical training or commensurate technical experience.
Tuition Reimbursement (subject to withholding tax, and overtime for non-exempt employee): For local and nationally accredited Technical programs as defined by Hendrick Automotive Group. Up to $300.00 paid on a monthly basis or actual monthly loan amount whichever is less not to exceed a maximum amount of $30,000 per employee or until tuition is fully reimbursed, whichever occurs sooner. To receive this reimbursement, the following must be met:
· Must have successfully completed 90 continuous calendar days of service.
· Must be an active employee in “good standing” as defined by the Company.
· Must be working in a Lube or technical position.
· Must be a regular full-time employee.
· Must provide proof of successful completion of qualified Technical Program.
Tool Voucher (subject to withholding tax, and overtime for non-exempt employee): $200.00 per month for the initial 10 months of employment up to a maximum amount of $2,000 per employee. To receive this voucher, the following must be met:
· Must be an active employee in “good standing” as defined by the Company.
· Must be working in a Lube or technical position.
· Must be a regular full-time employee.
Relocation (may be subject to withholding tax, and overtime for non-exempt employee): May be available based on dealership’s terms and conditions. All expenses submitted for reimbursement must be actual, reasonable, necessary, and within the Company guidelines as stated below.
o Employee must obtain original receipts and other documents that are necessary to support all claims for reimbursement.
o Employee must submit claims within 30 days after the Employee moves into the new permanent residence, but in no case later than 12 months after beginning employment at the new location.
o Employee must remain an employee of the Company for a period of at least one year. Otherwise Employee will refund to the Company the gross amount of moving and relocation reimbursements, i.e., actual payments received by Employee and any payments to third parties on the Employee's behalf, plus all taxes deducted that relate to those payments. The amount to be repaid will be prorated on a monthly basis such that for each full month during which the Employee remains in the employ of the Company, the amount to be repaid will be reduced by one-twelfth (1/12) of the gross reimbursement.
ASE Certification Test Costs: The Company will cover the cost, in advance, for all ASE certification tests for technicians that meet the qualifications below:
· Must have successfully completed 90 continuous calendar days of service.
· Must be an active employee in “good standing” as defined by the Company.
· Must be working in a Lube or technical position.
· Must be a regular full-time employee.
· Must provide receipts and proof of passed ASE certification test.
*Should a qualified employee pay the cost of the test, the Company will provide reimbursement.
Paid Factory Training (subject to withholding tax, and overtime for non-exempt employee): At dealership training rate of pay time’s total factory training hours worked. Travel time away from home community for training will be paid at dealership training rate of pay times applicable travel hours. Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to dealership guidelines.
Safety Shoe Program: (The company will cover the cost of safety non slip shoes): up to 75.00 in value and every 6 months, the following must be met:
· Must be working in a Lube or technical position.
· Must be a regular full-time employee.
Safety Glasses Program:
· Hendrick Automotive Group offers all teammates Safety Glasses free of charge.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
