- Provide support for quality non-conformance investigations and problem resolution
- Provide support and make machine adjustments for continuous improvement projects, i.e. tool life & part quality
- Perform mechanical repair for break downs
- Perform fabrication and machining to make or modify repair parts
- Make suggestions for stocking critical parts and adding to Kanban
- Support installation of new equipment and processes
- Support machinery moves
- Have knowledge of machine set ups and change overs.
- Help plan scheduled downtime for TPM and repairs
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Operate machinery for production volume increases
- Regular predictable attendance and the ability to work overtime and Saturdays
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Follow other duties as assigned by the Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and set up sheets. Ability to write repair reports. Ability to speak effectively before team members, peers and Team Leader. Fluent in English: Japanese as a second language is helpful.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry as well as trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
