**Overview**
Gregg Young Chevrolet Marshalltown is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various automotive repair techniques and possess strong leadership skills to oversee shop operations effectively.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality output
- Supervise and train shop staff on repair techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Coordinate with vendors for parts procurement and maintain inventory levels
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and restoration projects
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Monitor shop performance metrics and implement improvements for efficiency
- Handle customer inquiries, provide estimates, and maintain client relationships
**Qualifications:**
- $2,500 signing bonus for Carstar Expereince
- Proficiency in soldering, sheet metal work, auto painting, detailing, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance
- Experience with hand tools, welding equipment, and auto body repair techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Prior experience in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred
- Certification or training in automotive repair is a plus
