Job Summary: Our locally owned Auto Repair Shop has an immediate opening for an experienced, thorough Mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on customers’ cars, including AC and electrical problems. We’re looking for a well-trained and highly organized professional who takes pride in his or her work and can perform various customer service duties as required throughout the day. An ideal candidate will also be able to handle many of the tasks an Automotive Technician would be responsible for as well perform complete engine and transmission swaps.

Responsibilities:

Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues
Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the customer
Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist
Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front-end alignments, battery installations and headlight/taillight installations, shocks and struts, timing belt and chains.
Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers' problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
Must be able to perform or willing to learn wheel alignments.
Must be able to do all general repairs on domestic vehicles
Must be able to perform and complete engine and transmission swaps.

Qualifications and Skills:

Must have own tools to be able to complete repairs
2+ years of automotive repair experience
Valid Drivers License
Ability to operate all auto repair tools
Must have on hand automotive experience in a shop for minimum 2 YEARS or do not apply.
Fast pace very busy mechanic shop. Must have this experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
$900-$1,200 per week
Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm (1 Hour Lunch Break) Friday 8am-3pm
